About Our Hunting
Mananga Safaris offers a unique hunting territory of 25 000 hectares. The hunting territory is a mixture of savannah land, Bushveld and mountain / rocky terrain. The Northern Province (Limpopo Province) is known as one of the most beautiful parts of South Africa, therefore we can offer you a South African safari to remember!
The wide variety of species in our 25 000 hectare hunting area is one of the main factors that makes Mananga Safaris unique. Elephant, rhino, leopard and buffalo roam our area and therefore there is no need to travel to different parts of South Africa to find these species. We have then all HERE!
Our hunting safaris in South Africa are carefully planned and well organized. We have friendly and experienced professional hunters that will assist you in your hunting safari. Our hunting vehicles are equipped with all the necessities to ensure you a comfortable and careless experience. We are also in constant radio contact to ensure that safety gets our highest priority.
All year Hunting:
The Limpopo Province’s rain season usually varies between November and March. The summers are very warm while the remainder of April till September are cooler. Therefore, the ideal and most popular time of the year for hunting is between April and September.
For the more adventurous and robust, we offer all year hunting. If you do not mind the heat or the rain, we can accommodate you any time of the year.
Taxidermist:
The most exciting part of your hunting safari to South Africa is your hunting trophies.
There are two options to consider:
- If you prefer to make use of your own taxidermist we will take care of the dipping, packing and shipping of your trophies, according to your specifications. The necessary regulations will still be applicable.
- You also have the option to have your trophies mounted and shipped locally. We are currently making use of Thaba Mahaka Taxidermy in Polokwane who are known for the high quality of their work. The taxidermist will take care of all the necessary arrangements (customs clearing, shipping and permits required for the export process). Please allow six to eight months for the mounting process to be completed.
