Within a few hours from Mananga Safaris, you can be in Zimbabwe, Mozambique and Botswana. Nothing beats the excitement of a South African safari! Driving into the bush in our special build game viewing vehicles is a popular way to get close to nature. From here you can almost be sure to get magnificent pictures of wild animals at close hand.
You can also go on a guided bush walk where we can provide you with the opportunity to see smaller things that might be missed while driving. The best time for game viewing is mainly early in the morning before sunrise or late in the afternoon before sunset. You will be totally amazed by our unbelievable sunsets in South Africa; the kaleidoscope of colours in the sky will surely take your breath away . . .
To ensure that you are refreshed and comfortable during your South Africa safari tour, drinks will always be available.
Things to Do and Things to See:
Some of our guests prefer to prolong their stay to South Africa to do some sight-seeing. Cape Town is a very popular costal city to visit and the rest of our country offers endless sight-seeing opportunities. Should you require us to arrange your plane tickets, hotel accommodation, rental cars, etc., do not hesitate to ask. Please note that these arrangements should be done before your arrival to South Africa.
Besides your South African hunting safari or game viewing safari, we can arrange a wide variety of other activities. Some of these activities include casual fishing, meeting the local people, horse riding, picnic on the mountains, shopping in Makhado and many more . . .
Here is an indication of some of the activities that we can arrange:
- Shopping in Makhado: The Louis Trichardt town offers many shopping opportunities. There are two gun shops as well as clothing stores that sell hunting gear. There are also fine jewellery stores and gift shops for the ladies!
- Trip to the Soutpansberg Mountain Range: Enjoy a picnic at Hangklip with a perfect view over Louis Trichardt and the surroundings. Louis Trichardt also offers various restaurants for the hungry traveler.
- Camping on Farm Klipspringer:: Overtnight in our tented camp on Farm Klipspringer, surrounded by cliffs and caves. Leave the Main Camp after lunch and return back the next day for lunch also in the Main Camp.
- Visiting the Salt Pans: Experience an interesting tour around the Salt Pans and get familiar with the salt mining techniques.
- Day Visit to the Crocodile Farm and Mapungubwe Heritage Site:: Visit an African heritage site where 3 countries unite. Extend your visit to the crocodile farm where you can enjoy lunch and buy some beautiful artifacts made out of crocodile leather.
- Kruger National Park (Day Tours):: We can arrange day trips to the world renowned Kruger National Park. If you are eager to see the Big Five, this trip will surely be an experience of a lifetime.
- Casual fishing can be arranged in our nearby dam.
- Golf at Poppelin Ranch.
- Boat trips at sunset.
- Hot stone Massage: Allow yourself to be pampered with a hot stone back massage in the comfortable and tranquil atmosphere of our lodge.

Shuttle Services:
We are offering a basic shuttle service from O.R. Thambo International Airport to Mananga Safaris. Our shuttle is a fourteen seater which that we also use during transfers to Kruger National Park and other areas when visiting nearby places of interest close to our facilities.
